[Achievements] Development of Antennas for Automotive Millimeter-Wave Radar

To meet the increasing demand for applications such as autonomous driving, we will continue to develop smaller and higher-performance new products.

We received a request from a major manufacturer to develop an antenna for millimeter-wave radar that is compatible with a newly developed IC. To achieve maximum gain performance within the requested size, we proposed and developed vehicle-mounted millimeter-wave radar antennas tailored to the distance: a lens type for long-range applications and a patch type for short-range applications. Subsequently, this vehicle-mounted millimeter-wave radar was exhibited at an international trade show in early 2018, and our antennas were also displayed alongside it.
